I Can’t Stop Praying

Here’s a new comment on an earlier post called  “The Tomb of Jesus & Mary Magdalene?” that, for a moment, left me speechless. In my post, I shared some convincing evidence against the claim that archeologists have discovered the tomb of Jesus and MM. In response, Leah wrote this:Question_key

The true shame in all of this is that it does not truly matter if any of it is TRUE or NOT.>God is energy, energy is love and light and everything good. Energy has  no beginning and no end. Like we envision God – love and light and  everything good, no beginning and no end – a forever presence. What
Jesus understood that a lot of people still do not get, it this-God is INSIDE everyone of us. We must stop praying and looking for  answers outside of ourselves. All the answers are in each and every one  of us … We DO control our own  destiny. Why am I telling you all of this? I stumbled upon this page and something inside just told me you needed to know. As stated by J. Krishnamurti -”Truth is a Pathless Land.”

… Leah has brought up so many things to talk about. But the core of what she is getting at here, I think, is the nature of God. Who is he? What is he like? What is his relationship to us? How do I get to know him?Empty_tomb2

These are questions well worth pondering, and discussing, and working through.

But as I consider the nature of God, the claims of Christ, the authenticity of the Bible, and whether
Jesus rose from the dead, this much I know: what’s true or not matters to me … and to you.

Five other things I know:

1. God is love, but he’s also just and pure and righteousGalaxy

2. I don’t have all the answers inside me

3. I don’t control my own destiny

4. I can’t stop praying

5. I’m desperate for something great, something outside myself, something much more than me.

I guess I can boil it all down to this: I’m nothing, and God is everything.

It is based on 1 Peter 3:15 and it is a very interesting way to share our faith without using too much of our time.
